Today has been a day of great contrasts. I woke at seven to the sound of driving rain and four degrees C.<\/p>\n
Getting out of bed was no fun, and the rest of the day seemed uncertain. I’m extremely happy we got to do the whale safari last night.<\/p>\n
After breakfast and some discussion it was decided that we should leave Husavik instead of spending the day there.<\/p>\n
We headed off and visited \u00c1sbyrgi national park and Dettifoss before stopping for lunch at myvatn hot springs.<\/p>\n
Some hot food and a long hot soak in the hot spring was just what everyone needed. After three hours we continued on to Akureyri where we’ll spend the night and some time tomorrow.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
